Cops are on the lookout for a 65-year-old man, who allegedly lured his employee into having anal sex with him on the pretext of paying him his pending salary. The police are now questioning the man’s other employees, to ascertain if he sodomised any of them as well.

The accused has been identified as Lalpratap Singh Thakur (65), a resident of Prabhadevi, Dadar (West). According to the police, the accused met 20-year-old complainant in Tardeo, while the latter was looking for a job.

After hiring the complainant, Thakur did not pay him his salary of Rs 5,000 for over two months. Thakur runs a factory at Prabhadevi that manufactures laddoos. He soon transferred the complainant to his son’s grocery shop in Vadodara, Gujarat. In March, the complainant was brought back to the city.

“The victim then demanded that he be paid his salary, which had now been pending for nine months. He also asked for leave to visit his native place in Uttar Pradesh (UP) for his brother’s marriage. Thakur promised the man that he would be paid all his dues amounting to Rs 45,000, and would also be made a nominee of his property.

In exchange, Thakur demanded the young man to have sex with him. They had anal sex in his unit at night,” said PSI Sunil Shinde, Dadar police station. The next day, Thakur took the youth to a bank in Worli, and made him a nominee to the account.

The next day, the accused again forced the complainant into having sex with him — there was, however, no mention of the pending salary that had been promised to him. Realising that he had been duped, the complainant approached social workers, who helped him register an offence under section 377 (unnatural sex) of the IPC.

“We are also questioning his other employees to find out if he has sexually harassed any of them. The accused has fled from his residence and we are searching for him,” said Shinde.
