Yet another incident of violence against cops took place yesterday, when a brother-sister duo were arrested for attacking a woman constable on duty in Vile Parle.

Constable Priyanka Khot (30) is attached to the Vile Parle police station, and had stopped the woman Aarti Patlekar (27) and her brother Sudarshan Patlekar (30) for riding a bike without wearing helmets.

The duo got into an argument with Khot over the helmet issue, and they hit on her stomach and chest. “We have arrested both accused under Sections 332, 353, 504, 506 of the IPC, read with Sections 129, 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act,” said a police official from Vile Parle police station.
