Mumbai crime: Man held for showing obscene pictures to minors

The Colaba police arrested a 59-year-old man on Friday night for allegedly showing obscene photographs to two minor girls.

According to cops, the two girls, aged 12 and 13 years, were passing by Apollo Clinic in Colaba when the accused, identified as Ajaykumar Bhaloria, called them. Bhaloria,   who stays at Marine Drive, showed them obscene pictures from a book that he had in his hand. An officer from Colaba police station said, “The incident took place at around 3 pm on Friday.

The girls approached a constable nearby.” He searched the area but couldn’t locate Bhaloria. He was finally arrested from Colaba at around 11 pm on Friday.

He has been booked under Sections 294 (Obscene acts and songs) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code and under relevant sections of the Children Protection Act.
