Accused was convinced she was having an extramarital affair
The Bhoiwada police have arrested a tailor for allegedly attempting to murder his wife with a sewing machine.
He suspected that she was cheating on him. At 1 am on Saturday, the couple got into a fight and he smashed the machine on her head.

Senior police inspector Sunil Tondwalkar from Bhoiwada police station said, “Soon after the incident, the accused, Shrinivas Ghoske (38), came to the police station and confessed to the crime.
A team was immediately sent to his residence at Ahmed Sailor Compound in Parel, where they found his wife Sulochana’s ailing body.
She was admitted to KEM Hospital and is now in critical condition.”
The duo used to run a tailoring business at their residence and have a 13-year-old daughter and 10-year -old son.
The accused has been booked under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code and remanded to police custody.
