The Kherwadi police have arrested three people including two journalist for allegedly robbing and molesting a 24-year-old woman

The Kherwadi police have arrested three people, including two journalists, for allegedly robbing and molesting a 24-year-old woman. The accused told her that they are cops and if she refused to give them money, a case of immoral trafficking will be registered against her.


The three accused, Shivdani Gupta, Pratik Khandaria and Raunik Poladiya, robbed the women of Rs 35,000. The Kherwadi cops said Shivdani and Raunik are reporters from Mira Road while Pratik is a student. The victim works with some private restaurant.


The cops said that Pratik called the woman and all the accused posed as police officials and demanded money from her. They took the woman in a car to a mall in Kandivali, and withdrew the money from her ATM card. While travelling, she was abused verbally and physically by the accused.


The woman later registered a complaint with the Kherwadi police. The accused have been sent to custody, and charged under Sections 354, 170, 174, and 392 of the IPC.
