Mumbai Fire Brigade conducts mock drill to demonstrate flood rescue methods

Come hell or high water, Mumbai will be prepared. As monsoon clouds gather over the city, the Mumbai Fire Brigade conducted a mock drill to demonstrate flood rescue methods to over 60 officials from the beach safety, flood rescue, lifeguard, police departments, as well as the National Disaster Response Force.

The drill took place behind Mafatlal club at Girgaum Chowpatty at 5 pm yesterday. While rescue teams are ready for untoward incidents, the city’s fire chief PS Rahangdale cautioned people to stay away from the seaside during high alerts.
