Harbhajan Singh took five wickets as Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by eight runs in their Indian Premier League match here Friday.

Chasing 165 for victory, Chennai Super Kings were restricted to 156 for nine.

Harbhajan was the pick of the bowlers, taking five for 18 in his four overs.


S. Badrinath remained unbeaten on 71for Chennai while Michael Hussey contributed 41.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma blasted 87 off 48 balls with eight fours and five sixes for Mumbai.u00a0

Andrew Symonds contributed a 26-ball 31.u00a0

Sharma and Symonds added 87 runs for the fourth wicket.
