Mumbai moneylender duo held for abetting 30-year-old's death

On Saturday, the Dahisar police arrested two moneylenders, Alok Dubey and Latif Khan, for abetting the suicide of 30-year-old Sandeep Patil, a resident of Gyaneshwar Nagar, Dahisar. The duo’s names were mentioned in Patil’s suicide note.

In the letter, apart from Dubey and Khan, Patil had also written the names of Arun Bhatia and one Vikram, alias Spicy, and accused them of mentally harassing him because he had taken money from them six months ago. Bhatia and Vikram are absconding.

According to the police, Patil’s elder brother noticed his body hanging from the ceiling fan on Saturday morning and rushed him to a nearby hospital. But the doctors declared Patil dead on admission. Dubey and Khan have been booked under section 306 (Abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code.u00a0
