A 4-year-old infant suffered burns on his arms, chest, abdomen and right thigh, after accidentally falling into a gravy pot at Shalimar Restaurant in Bhendi Bazaar. According to a reporty by The Times of India, an eye-witness saw the boy named Fazil Suterwala, standing near the cash counter with his mother, when he accidentally fell into the pot, which was covered by a cloth placed near the entrance way.


The restaurant's manager has expressed regret over the incident and has also offered to pay for the treatment. Fazil is currently undergoing treatment at the Masina Hospital in Byculla.


Doctors say that he has suffered 20-25 per cent burns, which include superficial and deep ones. They further added that Fazil would be moved to the ICU if necessary.
