But off screen, Mumbai’s recent monsoon fury has thrown Bollywood totally out of gear. The incessant showers have played spoilsport disrupting the shoot of several films. The shoots did not start as planned while several of them, especially at Film City, began late due to the bumper-to-bumper traffic on the roads.

A few shoots even got cancelled. Several film events had to bear the brunt too. They were either cancelled or postponed at short notice due to the downpour. Shah Rukh Khan was to launch a mobile game of his upcoming film yesterday. The event was scheduled for 2.30 pm but the timing was pushed back to later in the day due to the heavy rainfall.

On Tuesday, Kiran Rao and Anand Gandhi were to interact with the media about their recently released film. However, there were only a handful present as most could reach the suburban hotel where the event was held. Arjun Rampal and Nikhil Advani were to ride with 60 bikers on Sunday morning as part of their recent release’s event. But it got cancelled as it was heavily raining all day.

Harbhajan Singh was to unveil his single Hindi album on Tuesday which got postponed to the next day, and eventually the event got cancelled as the cricketer was unable to board a flight from Delhi due to the heavy rain. The promotional event of Manish Tiwary’s movie was delayed on Sunday as the media could not reach on time. Funnily enough, the film’s cast Prateik and Amyra Dastur were seen enjoying a Victoria horse ride.
