Every division will award one member of their staff with an appreciation certificate and cash prize at the end of the month.

The aim of the ‘Traffic Cop of the Month’ scheme is to acknowledge a job well done and ensure that cops handle motorists in a positive manner. With 25 divisions, there are nearly 3,400 traffic cops in the city.

The scheme will involve every cop who is on field during the month. Senior officials have also encouraged inspectors to go on field and observe the behaviour of their staff.
