Ten-year-old Musheer Khan was the star performer for Payyade Sports Club, who beat Palghar-Dahanu Taluka Cricket Club by 196 runs in the quarter-final of the Dronacharya Ramakant Achrekar U-14 selection tournament at Kandivli yesterday.
In the two-day match, Payyade SC scored 280-7 declared with Musheer scoring 52 in 142 balls.
The young left-arm spinner then went on to claim 6-13 in 20.1 overs that helped him bag the man of the match award. The Palghar-Dahanu team were bowled out for 84.
