Four-time motorbike stunt riding world champion, Chris Pfeiffer will be seen performing live in Mumbai on Sunday. He promises to enthrall audiences with his amazing, jaw-dropping stunts. The event will be part of the Red Bull Chris Pfeiffer India Tour.

Pfeiffer discovered his passion for bikes when he was very young. Since 1996 he has been recognised as a professional rider. He has performed in hundreds of shows internationally. His new tricks, projects and off road races have sent the pulses of millions racing.

Since 2000, this extreme rider has trained on big street bikes. He won the most prestigious US Streetbike Freestyle Competition, the legendary 'Stuntwars' in Florida and three rounds of the European Stuntriding Championships.

With no tickets or passes required, everyone gets to witness the god of free style biking, burning rubber and turning up the heat. The Taj Enlighten Film Society brings a few classic Italian films for Mumbai's cine lovers, as part of its Italian film festival, which will be held held over the next four weeks. The festival will exhibit works from Italy, beginning from the Neo-Realist masterworks in the '40s, to their modernist counterparts beginning in the late '50s and until their advent into post-modernity in the '80s. The first film Love in the City will be screened today at the NCPA. Directed by Cesare Zavattani, the film consists of seven short film segments by the most important Italian film practitioners of the '70s.u00a0 The other films to be screened over the weekend include Vittorio De Sica's Neo-Realist masterpiece Shoeshine and Roberto Benigni's Life is Beautiful. Shoeshine will be screened at Cinemax, Versova and Life is Beautiful will be screened at Metro Big Cinemas, Dhobi Talao.u00a0

The hanging gardens gets the right notes

In an attempt to revive the city's long-forgotten bandstand culture, the Bombay Chambers of Commerce and Industry is organising live band performances in different parts of the city. They are trying to recreate an environment from the 1800s, by bringing back the live band experience in open areas. As part of this effort, Ankit Dayal and Vasudha Sharma will be performing live at Hanging Gardens on Saturday. The event is free and open to all. It promises to be an evening filled with fun and music. Vasudha Sharma, one-time member of the band Aasma is one of the few Indian artists who can assemble an entire recorded song on stage, infusing vocals and instruments, creating a refined blend using the loop station.

BNHS Nature Reserve, at the edge of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Goregaon (East) is an interesting place to explore Mumbai's wildlife. With an expert, you can enter this deciduous forest to get in touch with nature in all its bounty. The stream trail organised on Saturday will lead you on to a leopard trail. Expect to see and hear the Plum-headed Parakeet, Greater Racket-tailed Drongo, Greater Coucal, Shikra, Golden Oriole, Brown-headed Barbet, Red-vented Bulbul and Spotted Dove. This is also a good time to spot forest trees including the Flame of the Forest, Silk Cotton Tree and Indian Laburnum in full bloom.
