Here's your chance to watch legendary French photographer Henri Cartier Bresson on the big screen as he talks about his candid shots, celebrity subjects and travels in Mexico in this documentary titled The Impassioned Eye. Interviewed by filmmaker Heinz Butler, this documentary gets the famous photographer talking about his encounter with Mahatma Gandhi just before Bapu's assassination and his own time in prison during Word War II.

This documentary will be screened along with several other photo exhibition, seminars and workshops at The Bangalore Weekend of Photography This three-day event is being organized by the Page Turners bookstore and Jaaga, a creative arts space and will include photography exhibitions, an Open Show that will provide the photographers a forum to talk and meet other photographers. At The World of Photobooks, photographer Mahesh Shantaram will open up his library of photo books for a sneak peak.

Sundays aren't going to be the same again. The Secrets of Drawing, a drawing workshop that teaches you the skills of the form in a natural and heritage filled backdrop is here again. Andrej Blatanik and Suzana Tratnik will be reading out a collection of short stories while Brane Mozetic and Veronika Dintinjana will be reading out poetry from the East European country. This editions will feature International musician Nu:Tone and DJ Vachan Chinnappa, who has popularized drum and bass music in the city. It is clearly that time of the year when art enthusiasts in the city can have more than their fill. An exhibition titled A Twist in the Tale will be launched at Crimson Art Gallery today. Animals and their symbolic representation in culture and mythology seen through the eyes of 12 young artists form the subject matter of this art show. Curated by Giridhar Khasnis, the exhibition will feature the works of artists like Anand Kumar N, Ganapati Hegde, Madhu D, Praveen Kumar, Rani Rekha, Sayam Bharath Yadav, Shivanand B, Sunil Lohar, Urmila VG, Varnasindhu, Venugopal VG, Vijay Kumar CS amongst others.
