Get your dose of theatre and art at the same place this weekend with Rasalok, the art of creating a miniature theatrical narration in a still format with its origins in Bangalore back in the 1930s. The process is characterised by making characters with expressive forms and costumes. Two such miniature art installations will be displayed in separate rooms, Shankaracharya Rolls The Cosmic Dice by artist Uma Nagraj and Awe Strikes Mother Yashodha by artist Deepika Dorai. Both the pieces go back into mythology for their themes and inspiration creating characters from the past.
