Dance with maestro
Brijmo Mishra, popularly known as Pandit Birju Maharaj, descendant of the Maharaja family of Kathak dancers, is in the Capital to teach some fine moves of Indian classical dance. Kathak lovers can attend the workshop which is divided into two batches -- junior batch, which includes people with three to four years of prior training, and senior batch with training of eight years and above. Nrityashri Alaknanda, a disciple of Birju Maharaj, wants to pass on the same teachings that guruji once gave her. Her institute will hold the five-day workshop which will end in Birju Maharaj performing. A great opportunity to increase your knowledge about Indian classical dance, we say.

Watch Ramkali, which is the adaptation of Bertolt Brecht's The Good Person of Szechwan in Hindi by Amitabh Srivastava and laments the core issues of today's world. Pet Pooja Param Pooja by Habib Tanveer and Safdar Hashmi presents a musical satire inspired by Munshi Premchand's work. Tamasha Na Hua is a narrative of Muktadhara ufffd one of Tagore's most popular works.
