Royal Challengers Bangalore, who are almost assured of a play-off berth, will take on an inconsistent Kolkata Knight Riders in an IPL league match at Ranchi today. The city will host its first IPL match at the Jharkhand Cricket Association's International stadium.
However, KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir still believes they can make the playoffs. “At the moment, the competition is pretty open. We still have a fair chance of reaching the playoffs. For me what matters is the remaining three games and we face RCB on Sunday, which is a must-win game for us.
Hopefully, we can try and deliver,” Gambhir said. RCB are among the top four teams in the points table with 16 points from 13 matches while KKR are lurking at the bottom half with 10 points from 13 outings.
