Dear Diana, I'm 25 and my boyfriend is three years older to me. We studied English literature and are presently teaching.
However, he doesn’t like my poetry for him. He doesn’t appreciate my verse. I like telling people how I feel about him through poetry but he detests it. I have to think twice before I say anything about him through my written expressions.

Dear Samiti,
You are writing down your feelings and want to convey your emotions through verse. This is your way of telling him how much you love him. But the problem is that you are reading it out in public. This is what is irritating him. He does not want your outpouring to be in public domain. Try reading them out only to him. I am sure he will appreciate it then. May be your guy is not all that expressive, so he does not appreciate your public display of affection. If you want to continue the relationship, you will have to learn to live and let live.
Diana will solve it!
