Starting today, some of the best 'motions' will be shown at a docu-fest in town

"Retrospective of The Documentary Films", the documentary film screening festival comes from one of theu00a0u00a0 best documentary film producers and directors or our times, Anu Malhotra. Her passion towards uplifting the content of the television has led her to win over 16 national and international awards.



The present festival marks the launch of her new documentary 'Shamans Of The Himalayas', which focuses on the 'Kullu Valley' where every village is like a home to several gods, popularly known as living gods. The other documentaries being screened are The Maharaja Of Jodhpur, based on the life of one of India's most distinguished royals, Maharajah Gaj Singh II of Marwar- Jodhpur, who was enthroned at the age of four.

The Apatani Of Arunachal Pradesh, another documentary, is an experiential exploration of the indigenous people of Arunachal Pradesh and the Konyak Of Nagaland is a documentary that offers an insight into the customary way of life of the Konyaks of Nagaland, who were feared headhunters.
