My friend keeps making fun of me
Dear Diana, I'm a 19-year-old college student. My childhood friend is also in my class. We are supposed to be thick but, of late, I hate his sense of humour.
He doesn’t care much about anything other than mocking others just for the heck of having fun and cheap laughter. I usually join him but lately, he has started making me a butt of his jokes and I hate it. Last week, he even embarrassed me in front of my girlfriend. To add to my pain, even she finds him funny now. I don’t understand what’s so funny about being laughed at.
As they say, to each his own. You say he is your childhood friend so why are you fretting about his jokes now? You must have got used to it by now. If you don’t find him funny, it’s okay but you can’t stop others from laughing at his wisecracks. There is no point fuming about his sense of humour. You just have to accept him as he is. Learn to live and let live.
