Dear Diana, I work for a lifestyle magaizine and am in a steady relationship with a guy from the banking sector.
We both are hardworking and get along well even though we lead hectic lives. What bothers my boyfriend is that my job requires me to keep talking to people on phone. I have to keep finding stories. He can switch off when not at work but not me. How do I explain my situation to him?

Dear Oindrila,
Your guy works for a bank and all work is strictly during fixed hours. Sundays and public holidays means you are switched off from work. But in your line of work, things are different. Explain to him that you cannot switch off and on. There is always the hunt for stories. You can perhaps keep your cell on silent mode when you are on an evening out with him and text message instead to avoid conversations.
