Hollywiood actress Anne Hathaway is deeply saddened by 'The Dark Knight Rises' massacre that killed 12 moviegoers and injured more than 50 others in a Colorado theatre
The 29-year-old actress, who plays Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, is grief-stricken by the tragic incident and sent her prayers to the victims and their families, reported Ace Showbiz.
"My heart aches and breaks for the lives taken and altered by this unfathomably senseless act. I am at a loss for words how to express my sorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families," Hathaway said.
James Holmes, 24, was identified as the gunman who opened fired on the audience in the midnight massacre.
The Aurora Police Department said that the former medical student from University of Colorado was in possession of an AR-15, a Remington 870 shotgun and a 40 caliber glock handgun when he was arrested. Investigation by police revealed that the 24-year-old former medical student of University of Colorado acted alone in the shooting.
Police found a Batman poster on a wall, a Batman mask and other Batman paraphernalia during a search of his apartment in Aurora to collect evidence.
