Dear Diana, I am 37 and have been married for a decade. We have a eight year-old-daughter. My husband has been having an extra-marital affair with a woman who is his company's business client.
I got wind of it after I realised that he was spending a greater part of his time with her. Recently he told me that he wanted to end the relationship but she was not willing to let go. Last week he did not come home for three days. When he returned, he looked extremely tense. After much persuasion and drama he admitted that she’s pregnant. What am I supposed to do now?

Your husband has cheated on you and had been lying that he had ended his relationship with the other woman. I must say that you have been extremely patient with him. Now that she has told him she is pregnant, he is running for cover. When it came to having fun, it was okay but when it comes to shouldering the responsibility, he is shirking away. It was the weaknesses in his character that allowed him to get to this place. Don’t feel that you could’ve done better as a wife and not let him go astray. There are healthy ways to deal with problems in a marriage. Having an extramarital affair is not the answer. Let him be and realise the wrong he has done to you. Then think about the next step — about going your separate ways.
