Now that he has recovered from his multiple injuries, he is a changed person altogether. He used to call himself an atheist but now he is super-religious and keeps talking about God, godmen and what not. Initially, I thought he needs spiritual help as he was in a lot of pain and discomfort so I didn’t really mind. But now he is overdoing it.
Your guy thinks he owes it to the divine force for giving him another life after the mishap. He has had a hard time considering the injury and the hospitalisation. He has gone through a terrible experience and feels it was the prays to the Almighty that helped. Now that he is out of the misery, he is grateful to God for alleviating his pain. So let him be for a while. Over time as the injury heals, and he is better, he will outgrow it.
