Exploring the world of superheroes

Hosted by the Talking Myths Project and Trilogy by The Eternal Library, The Age of the Superhero is part of a series of lectures and discussions on worldwide myths, folklore, rituals and traditions of cultures.

The speaker for the event, Arundhuti Dasgupta Singhal, is a writer, researcher, and co-founder of the Talking Myths Project. Over the course of the session, she will discuss the role of heroes in the world they inhabited and how the times they lived in shaped their characters. The session is open to those above 16 years of age.

To be held on one Saturday every month, the aim of the series is to explore a wide range of topics - from the cult of the mother goddess to riddles in mythology to sacred journeys that connect people across the globe.

Talking Myths Project is a curated online archive of myths from across Indian. It provides a platform for people across the world, who have a myth from the region, to start a conversation around it. The aim is to understand Indian mythology in relation to world mythology. Through this, the project hopes to provide a creative and scholarly exposition of the diverse heritage of myths that enrich the cultures of the region and the patterns that emerge therein.
