The grade 2, C N Wadia Gold Cup, for horses four years old and older, is the stellar attraction of Sunday's nine-race card framed at the Mahalaxmi racetrack for the 29th day's racing of the current Mumbai campaign. Seven runners have accepted to face the starter for stakes of Rs 12.48 lakh, of which the winner will pocket over Rs 4.57 lakh.
Invictus, Caesars Star and Monet, all rated well below 100, are ambitiously taking on the quartet of Capriole, Spearhead, Bling and Nadia, all of whom are rated over 100. In all probability, it may be Nadia and Bling, who will be engaged in a close finish at the end of the mile-and-a-half trip.u00a0
With a little luck, Nadia (P Trevor up) may finally be able to realise the long-cherished dream of her young trainer, the Bangalore-based Neil Darashah, of winning a graded race on the western India circuit. First race at 1.30 pm.
