Naidu urged not to support Left parties

The US Charge d'Affaires (Ambassador) Peter Burleigh has urged Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu not to support the left-led government, according to the sources.
The sources also said that Chandrababu Naidu was askedu00a0to choose between the NDA and the UPA.
Ambassador Burleigh met Governor Narayan Dutt Tiwari, chief secretary P Ramakanth Reddy, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, speaker K R Suresh Reddy, and Prajarajyam party president K Chiranjeevi among others on Tuesday.
He also met OU vice-chancellor Prof T Tirupati Rao and visited the Osmania University Center for International Programs (OUCIP), formerly the American Studies Research Center (ASRC). He re-affirmed the interest of the United States in promoting American studies in the city, including co-operation with OUCIP.
Ambassador A Peter Burleigh assumed his duties as Charge d'Affaires of the US Mission in India on April 6, 2009.
