Nano wait gets longer

Nano wait gets longer

Bangaloreans waiting to book the world's cheapest car will have to hold their horses till April though Mumbai's wait ends on March 23.
Tata dealers in Bangalore haven't received any communication till date though they have their hands full with phone inquiries and visitors wanting to take a look at the Rs 1-lakh car.
Suresh Kamath, manager of Prerana Motors (Lalbagh Road), an authorised Tata Motors dealer, says: "We haven't received any communication. We haven't received a car for display either. So the booking will not begin here from 23 March."
But Prerana Motors and Concorde Motors are ready to start the bookings.
Have to wait
Sources say the car will be on display in the city from the first week of April and bookings will begin at the same time. The cars will be delivered two months after the booking.
That's not good news for Bangaloreans eagerly awaiting the small car. "I have been waiting to book a Nano as all hurdles have been cleared," said Shivakumar S, an employee with Mico Bosch. "It's disappointing that I have to wait a month more."
