All of a sudden, the media glare has suddenly switched loyalties from Abhinav Bindra to Gagan Narang. Not that Narang was away from it, but his popularity and demand had taken a back seat after Bindra's gold medal-winning Beijing Games outing.

But with three gold medals in the ongoing Commonwealth Games, Narang has become the eye candy of the crowd and the media in equal measure. 'Narang ka gold hua kya?' is the most common question doing the rounds at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range.
And even as Narang aims to win a record haul of gold medals, he is keeping a safe distance from a prying media.

Meanwhile, India went on to win two more gold medals yesterday. First, army man Vijay Kumar won the top honours in the 25-metre rapid fire pistol event. Gurpreet, also an army man, finished third to win bronze in the same event. India's third gold came in the form of Omkar Singh after he won the 10m air pistol final.
