Sandeep clinched one wicket and effected two run-outs before scoring an unbeaten 56.

Electing to bat, Punjab got bowled out for 112 runs in 15 overs with Chandan Lal being the highest scorer with 64 runs. It was Chandan's run out, effected by Sandeep, that changed the game in Maharashtra's favour.

Maharashtra achieved their target in just six overs with 21-year-old Sandeep scoring an unbeaten 56 off 22 balls.

Sandeep, who hails from Nanded, has cataract in both eyes and has 40% visibility.

"I was born with cataract in both eyes. We have a small farmland in Nanded where we grow cotton. I could get back my vision if I undergo a cataract surgery.

However, since there is no fixed income, my family cannot afford to get the surgery done. I have got used to living like this and I enjoy my life the way it is. I still haven't given up on the hope of getting back my vision," said the SYBA student.
