Well-planned trap

“On November 5 around 8 pm, the accused went near CBD Belapur station for the deal. We arrested him and seized the bottle,” said Shelar.

Poison from Karnataka
The accused was produced in court and sent to police custody till November 10. “We found out that the accused had brought the poison from his native place in Karnataka. We will soon go there to get details,” he added.

Multiple uses
The accused said the poison is also used as a drug in rave parties. It can be used as a medicine to treat snake bites as well,” said Ishan Kharote, sub-inspector, ANC, Navi Mumbai crime branch.
