Punjab's Chief Parliamentary Secretary Navjot Kaur Sidhu has posted on a social networking site that her husband and three-time Amritsar MP has been "sidelined and ignored" by the BJP.u00a0

She dismissed allegations that Sidhu was ignoring his constituency for TV shows, saying he was recently been keeping himself busy in the television world because he was made to "feel suffocated in the system for his honesty".

She said her husband had been "sidelined" in spite of working hard and having a clean image.

"He has (therefore) gone back to the profession where he is respected," she wrote on Facebook.

Sidhu had recently participated in reality show 'Bigg Boss' and currently hosts a show in the ongoing Indian Premier League matches.

His wife said Sidhu had not been able to devote proper time to his family because he had been nursing his constituency.

Kaur alleged that Sidhu was not consulted while selecting party leaders for state and even Amritsar district bodies.

Besides dealing with infighting in the BJP, Sidhu also had differences with the SAD over the municipal corporation elections.
