Cops say it will take a while to quiz all the women whose numbers were found in Navraj Kawatra's cellphone
Maharashtra Housing Board (MHB) police investigating the murder case of 65-year-old Navraj Kawatra suspects the involvement of a woman in the crime.
In order to ascertain this, cops have questioned several of the 300 women whose numbers were found on Kawatra’s cellphone.

“It will take us time to scan and communicate with each woman on his contact list. We have found that Kawatra had photos of all the 300 women in his office,” added the officer.
Representativ-es of the Crime Branch — which is running a parallel probe — have also spoken with some of the girls in the matter. Police had questioned Kawatra’s assistant on the subject. However, they do not yet suspect his involvement in the crime. “Kawatra’s helper was at their Andheri office at the time of the murder. This was corroborated by a mechanic who was fixing an air-conditioner in the presence of the assistant,” said an officer.
On Friday at 12.30 pm, MHB police was informed by a neighbour of the victim that two men had entered Kawatra’s ground floor flat at Wilderness Apartments near LIC Colony in Borivli (West) that he had converted into a photo studio. The elderly neighbour heard the deceased’s cry for help.
He rushed to Kawatra’s flat and rang the doorbell several times. No one answered. As soon as the neighbour had moved to the rear of the building, the two assailants ran out of the main door. u00a0
