Indian-born Vivek Ranadive, the majority owner of the team, is all set to woo the Indian and Asian population with his marketing stunt.
In today's game against Los Angeles Lakers, Ranadive has planned a first-ever "Bollywood" themed evening where there will be music and dance with Hindi film songs played in the background.
This season, the Kings have televised over 20 live games in India, launched a website in Hindi, sent the Sacramento Kings Dancers to Mumbai and even signed the team's first India-based
"The ultimate power of sport is the ability to connect people across geographic, economic and cultural lines.
The Kings have such strong support from the Indian community here and abroad. We are catapulting basketball as the fastest growing sport in India," said Ranadive.
