Patil, 65 is survived by a son and a daughter. She had quit the Congress and joined the NCP last month along with former state Congress president Govindrao Adik.

The funeral will take place tomorrow at the Shivaji Park crematorium after her children arrive from London, party sources said here today.
Hailing from Sangli district, Patil was an office-bearer of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and also served as Treasurer of the Siddhivinayak temple trust.
She was a gynaecologist and working with the renowned Bombay Hospital here.
