St Anthony’s raced to a four-point lead over the Dadar school in the first quarter with Mrunali and Rutuja scoring two points apiece. In the second quarter, the Dadar school missed three shots even as the Chembur team scored a two-pointer to go into half-time leading 6-0.

In the third quarter, Nidhi netted a two-pointer for a comfortable 8-0 lead as the fourth quarter went point-less. “We couldn’t participate in the tournament last season due to our term exams. I hope we do well in the next games,” said St Anthony’s captain Tanvi Phal. Anthony’s coach Allwyn D’Souza said: “We’ve done well in U-16 and U-14, but doing well in U-11 is special,” he said.
