All guts but no glory. This saying typifies India's squash woes, as both Joshna Chinappa and Saurav Ghosal valiantly fought tooth and nail, but came up short against Malaysians Nicol David and Ong Beng Hee losing 5-11, 11-7, 7-11 in an exhilarating mixed doubles quarter-final match of the CWG squash event at Siri Fort Complex yesterday. India's challenge in squash too came to an end.
"We just did not play well in the third game. We gave them too many free points. I am disappointed with the result as we had a chance at a medal had we reached the last four,'' Ghosal reflected.
Joshna was at a loss for words. "It really hurts, we gave it our best shot. Saurav and I were gelling well and we thought we could win after bagging the second game,'' rued the India women's No 1.
