1. Hollywood Heavyweights associated with the series
A star studded affair, the show comprises of a dynamic cast including Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon along with The Fault in Our Stars fame Shailene Woodley. Parks and Recreation fame Adam Scott, Jurassic Park fame Laura Dern and Alexander Skarsgard of True Blood and The Legend of Tarzan fame also star in vital roles as supporting actors in the series.
To add to the list of renowned names associated with the series, Oscar winner Jean-Marc Vallee of the multi-award winning movies 'Dallas Buyers Club' and 'Wild' stepped in to direct Big Little Lies along with by David e. Kelley of Golden Globe winning 'Goliath' fame who wrote the script. This show, instead, is about a vicious fight for power and status between the Monterey moms that provides the female-centric show with a strong scope to showcase some brilliant performances by the leading ladies. 3. There is no Season 2
There will be no more of this show once Season 1 is over. The entire story, murder, mystery and suspense starts and ends within this season, closing all the loops and the possibility of a Season 2.
