NIEM students organise 2 competitions in Mumbai

The students of National Institute of Event Management (NIEM) showcased their organising skills at the Mr. and Ms. University and College Idol all-India finale held at Bhaidas Hall on November 20, 2014

The students of National Institute of Event Management (NIEM) showcased their organising skills at the Mr. and Ms. University and College Idol all-India finale held at Bhaidas Hall on November 20, 2014. The audience was enthralled with the grand show, which was executed in a sleek and spectacular fashion. The youngsters from NIEM proved that they have what it takes to be a professional event manager.

Dr. Hoshi Bhiwandiwalla and Dr. Rajiv Zaveri conceptualised and powered the show. They got adequate support from Niti Bengali, Shahaan Chesan, Isha Shah, Mayur Pathak, Karna Upadhyay, Priyesh Sagar, Karan Ganatra and Jeeshan Contractor. The young trainees put in a lot of effort to add the necessary glitz to the show. Other notable personalities associated with the finale were choreographers, Hemu Sinha, David Whitbread and duo Sameer and Arsh Tanna, Dr. Mayekar, Mickey Mehta and Harpreet Bachher.

Members from Hemu Sinha’s dance academy put up a great show. Hugo D'Souza and Nisha Harale hosted the show while Pune Diary.com sponsored the prizes. Producer-director, Vipul Shah of Sunshine Pictures, the Moranis of Cineyug and JD Majethia of Hats Off Production provided the star power. The College Idol contest was judged by Aashin Shah whereas the Mr. and Ms. University was evaluated by JD Majethia, Mickey Mehta, Mohammed Morani, Umang Jain and Aditi Pohankar.

The starcast of the TV show, ‘Badi Door Se Aaye Hain’

The celebrities who dazzled the show were producer-actor-director Sajid Khan, actors Paresh Ganatra, Farhad (Freddy) Daruwala and Krip Suri along with Longinus (Longie) Fernandes. Aashin Shah brought the cast of the TV serial, Pukar - Rannvijay Singh, Adah Sharma, Shubhangi Latkar and Dishank Arora to the event. JD Majethia introduced the cast of his popular show, Badi Dooor Se Aayi Hain, actors Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Bhosle, Vinay Rohrra and Punit Talreja.

The fillers were performed by the Dark Lights Group and choreographed by Kirit. Members of the Hemu Sinha Dance Academy put forward a show that was choreographed by Hemu Sinha and Anken Sen. The pace of the show and its sophisticated execution left the audience awestruck.
