A Nigerian national was arrested at the international airport here while allegedly trying to smuggle heroin worth approximately Rs 2.43 lakh customs officials said on Wednesday.
Larry Romeo Emeka was arrested when he was about to depart for Lagos on January 12, they said adding 750 grams of heroin was found in his baggage.

Emeka was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Prevention Act, they said. He has confessed to possession and carriage of the narcotic and further investigations are on customs officials said.
