It seems that Jon Snow’s fate has indeed been sealed. On Saturday, on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the host grilled celebrity guest Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays the deviously charming Jamie Lannister over the one question that has plagued every 'Game of Thrones' fan since last June, Is Jon Snow Alive?
Jimmy employed his interrogatory skills into coaxing Nikolaj to reveal the truth behind the show’s heart-breaking season finale. To which, Nikolaj replied that he keeps getting asked about Jon Snow so much that now he just pre-empts it. Now whenever he meets anyone, he just opens a conversation with ‘Jon Snow is dead’. The actor said that this sometimes left people flabbergasted, especially that one time when he broke the news to a shopkeeper.
Unwilling to believe what Nikolaj had just said, Jimmy kept nudging him to reveal the truth, “Stranger things have happen on the show. It wouldn’t be the biggest leap we’ve experienced on 'Game of Thrones',” Kimmel said, to which Nikolaj explicated his rationale to Jon was “stabbed 50 times in the heart”.
While it would be absolutely impossible for a man to stay alive after that, Nikolaj threw an intriguing remark towards the end, “At the end of season 5, he was dead!” Does this mean that Jon Snow may somehow be resurrected in the forthcoming season? Fans of the show truly hope so.
