Newbie Meerra Chopra is exasperated at having to answer unending queries about her famous first cousin
Bollywood newcomer Meerra Chopra may have started shooting for Satish Kaushik’s film. However the only question she’s quizzed is about her star cousin Priyanka Chopra.

When asked about her famous relative, she gives a bemused look. Having done South films, she finds it annoying that as she ventures into Bollywood all that everyone wants to ask her is about her relationship with her cousin.
Meera’s father Sudesh and PC’s dad Ashok are first cousins.
At the moment she acknowledges that she hasn’t been in touch with her famous cousin that often, nevertheless it doesn’t warrant any cause for concern or conspiracy theories. She says, “I admire what Priyanka has done coming from a non-film family. I am really proud of her. She has worked really hard for it.”
As Meerra’s folks are based in New Delhi and considering that she is busy shooting for her film, she has hardly been spending time even with her own folks. “I will have to keep shuttling between Mumbai and Delhi for that,” she says. “But I am realising my dream. Working with director Satish Kaushik as well as the other cast members Mahie Gill, Sharman Joshi and Anupam Kher, I have been learning a lot.”
Meanwhile Meerra begins work on Vikram Bhatt’s film, which is a sequel to his flick 1920, next month with a shoot schedule in July. “It is a back-to-back shoot for me, I really have no time for anything else.”
