The actress almost landed herself with a special appearance in Hum Tum Shabana simple because of the film's title, but alas things didn't work out as she would have liked it.
What was discussed (to offer the veteran a cameo) as a joke over dinner by the cast and crew almost became a reality.
The source further adds, "The director was keen to have the entire cast including Shreyas Talpade, Minissha Lamba, Tusshar Kapoor and Pia Trivedi for the scene.
But Tusshar's dates were an issue as he was busy with his other projects.u00a0 Shabana was willing to wait, but the idea was ultimately canned."
Ballary confirms, "When talks to bring her on board were on, there were heavy rains and the film's release was nearing. So we couldn't work it out. I sent her my deepest apologies and flowers too conveying the entire unit's regret!"
In the film, Minissha's character is called Shabana.
Release postponed
Hum Tum Shabana, which was slated to release this Friday, has been pushed back to September 30. Director Sagar Ballary says, "It got postponed because the producers areu00a0 believers iof Maata Rani, and as the shradh period ends on September 26, we will release next week"u00a0 We wonder why they did not check the calendar before fixing the release date.
