The Wankhede Stadium crowd seems utterly disappointed with Virat Kohli
Yesterday, just before the start of the Mumbai Indians vs Kings XI clash, the giant screens at the venue showed the final moments of the Rajasthan Royals’ chase against Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in Jaipur.
There was a huge roar from the crowd when Rahul Dravid’s men clinched the tie with one ball to spare as Kohli’s men suffered their second defeat on the trot.
The loud cheer for RR made it evident that the Wankhede crowd did not support Kohli’s RCB. On Saturday, Kohli was booed and labelled a cheat for going ahead with the appeal involving the controversial run-out of MI’s Ambati Rayudu.

Gilchrist does a Ponting
Adam Gilchrist decided to sit out of Kings XI Punjab’s clash against Mumbai Indians yesterday. Like Ricky Ponting, Gilchrist too was going through a lean patch.
On the eve of the match coach Darren Lehmann had hinted that Gilchrist may be benched, but he did not reveal whether it would be against Mumbai. Gilchrist finally followed the footsteps of the former Australian skipper.
At the toss, stand-in skipper David Hussey said: “Gilly thought it would be better to play Shaun Marsh ahead of him. I disagree with that. I don’t think Mumbai have too many chinks in their armour.”
Toss goof-up
A GOOF-UP at toss resulted in Mumbai Indians’ stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma spinning the coin twice. Commentator Pommie Mbangwa came in the way just as Rohit tossed the coin. Rohit had to spin the coin again. Luckily, Rohit won the toss and elected to bat.u00a0
