Turns out Dame Elizabeth Taylor isn't going to be a bride again after all. The 78-year-old screen legend has taken to her Twitter page to deny Friday's reports of her engagement to Jason Winters, 49. "The rumours regarding my engagement simply aren't true," Taylor wrote Monday.
"Jason is my manager and dearest friend. I love him with all my heart." Taylor and Winters, who recently became Janet Jackson's new manager, have appeared at numerous events together in recent years. The actress praised her friend to gossip columnist Liz Smith as "one of the most wonderful men I've ever known, that's why I love him." Now mostly confined to a wheelchair, the Oscar-winning star has been married eight times twice to the late Richard Burton. Her last marriage, to Larry Fortensky, ended in 1996.
