Nokia is preparing to launch three Android phones during the first quarter of 2017. Out of these three, the most affordable Nokia Android phone is rumoured to be the D1C model. A latest leak stated that the D1C will be available in two variants, 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM, which are likely to be sold at prices less than Rs. 10,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively.

The price could be considered to be a strong reason for people switching over to Nokia. D1C is likely to offer the traditional Nokia build quality as well as camera performance. In India, the upcoming Nokia phone will compete some similar devices like Moto G4 class and Xiaomi Redmi phones. The good part is that even after years, Nokia still enjoys the brand recognition in the Indian smartphone industry.

Here is a quick look at the specifications of Nokia D1C:

• Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor
• Full HD 5.5-inch screen
• 13MP rear camera
• 8MP front camera
• A customised version of Android Nougat
• 16GB internal storage

It is possible that the higher variant of D1C will come with a 16MP camera and higher internal storage capacity. HMD CEO has hinted that Nokia D1C will likely be the company’s most affordable and important smartphone in India.
