Pyongyang: North Korean men have been ordered to get the same haircut as leader Kim Jong-un.
The literally hair-brained idea was reportedly rolled out in the capital Pyongyang a few weeks ago but will now extend across the country.

Unsurprisingly some aren’t too keen on the new guidelines.
“Our leader’s haircut is very particular, if you will,” said a source.
“It doesn’t always go with everyone since everyone has different face and head shapes.”
Meanwhile, a North Korean now living in China says the look is actually unpopular at home.
“Until the mid-2000s, we called it the Chinese smuggler haircut,” he said.
North Korea’s state TV had previously launched a campaign against long hair, called ‘Let us trim our hair in accordance with the Socialist lifestyle’.
28 hair styles to choose from
In February 2013, Kim Jong-un had ordered people to cut their hair according to the 28 hairstyles, sanctioned by him. Men could pick from 10 variations on the short back and sides. Women had a bit more choice – a dazzling array of 18 styles. Married women were told to keep their hair short while singletons could have longer locks. Spiky crops were among North Korea’s banned styles.
