The concept of Shunya or void existed in Hindu philosophy andthe Buddhist concept of Nirvana and denotes attaining salvation by merging into the void of eternity.
This could translate a positive sense of emptiness where the mind is free and expansive.
It is compared to the sky, which is constant in our lives. Niki Hingad’s works are her interpretation of this nothingness and yet a constant.
