They say no pain, no gain. In spite of a nagging knee injury, Richa Chadda says she will take part in a walkathon on Sunday. The doctors have given her strict orders not to run but looks like the actress is all set to throw caution to the wind.
Richa, who had an accident on the sets on her forthcoming film while performing a stunt, even got operated a month back due to the seriousness of the injury.
A source say, “Richa had been asked not to perform heavy-duty exercises — not even running. She’s been following the doctor’s advice by making sure she doesn’t harm herself in the name of fitness. However, when she recently got an opportunity to be associated with an organisation that works for rehab from addiction of drugs and alcohol, she decided to participate in the 5 km walkathon in the city.”
Turns out covering the distance has become a weekend resolution for the actress and she’s more than glad to be part of the social initiative. “I’m health conscious and avoid stressing myself unnecessarily but these events don’t happen again and again in our city. Clicking a button on social media is one thing and getting out there under the sun to support a social cause is totally another. So, I signed up for it,” smiles Richa.
