Western Railway has launched a special service for Mumbaikars with Android cell phones and smartphones that will allow them to get updates thanks to the app 'M-Indicator'.
Mumbaikars with Android cell phones and smartphones can now get details about new trains, train disruptions, cancellations, holiday specials, Sunday Blocks, extra coach attachment plan, waiting list clearing and its trend on their mobile phones.

The rail alerts icon on ‘M-indicator’ would provides news on WR after downloading it from Google play store and www.mobond.com. Officials said that ‘M-indicator’ already has 30 lakh users who use it to check the fares of taxis and auto rickshaws. The WR is also developing its own mobile application to provide similar facilities.
Under waiting list clearance position a trend of clearance of waitlisted tickets from past few days for important trains is shown. One can calculate the probability of getting his waitlist ticket confirmed. Under extra coaches, WR shows the plan for attaching extra coaches for next few days. This again helps the waitlisted passengers to estimate the chances of clearance of his waitlist ticket.
